Job Description

JSM Living is seeking a reliable and skilled Carpenter to join our team. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential apartments and commercial properties, and this role is essential to keeping our buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained for our residents and tenants. We're looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can be relied on to consistently deliver high-quality work. Strong attendance, dependability, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments are key to success in this position. Key Responsibilities Perform carpentry-related repairs and maintenance work, including surface repairs, framing, trim work, drywall repairs, door and hardware installation, and other general carpentry tasks Prepare job sites, materials, and tools for daily carpentry projects and repairs Complete daily work orders accurately, efficiently, and with attention to detail Operate, maintain, and clean various power and manual carpentry tools and equipment Maintain electronic records by accurately documenting project-related time, labor, and materials Communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments to complete projects efficiently and professionally Participate in the on-call maintenance rotation as assigned Provide support during peak workload periods, which may require overtime What We're Looking For Valid driver's license required High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2 years of relevant carpentry or construction experience Fundamental knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and techniques, with the ability to perform detailed carpentry work independently Comfortable utilizing electronic communication and work order systems, including email, mobile devices, and maintenance software Comfortable working at heights and safely using ladders 6 feet or more above the ground SkyTrak/Lull certification desired but not required Flexibility for occasional overtime and participation in the on-call rotation Compensation & Benefits Hourly starting rate - $25-$32 per hour Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off and holidays Paid day off for your birthday 401(k) with company match Paid weekly The starting hourly range for this position reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of this posting. The final compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, education, skills, and other qualifications relevant to the role. All hiring is contingent on eligibility to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or transfer visas for this position. The pay range for this role is: 25 - 32 USD per hour(616G)
