Job Description
JCN Get It Done is looking for an experienced journeyman carpenter/remodeler to join our team in the Chicagoland area. We're looking for someone who knows the trades, can work independently when needed, takes pride in doing things correctly, and is comfortable working on a variety of residential remodeling and construction projects. What You'll Be Doing Work may include: Rough and finish carpentry Kitchen and bathroom remodeling Cabinet installation Doors, trim, molding, and finish work Framing and drywall Flooring General residential remodeling Repairs and punch-list work Reading measurements, plans, and project specifications Troubleshooting issues that come up on the job Working alongside the owner and other trades as needed What We're Looking For Several years of hands-on carpentry, remodeling, or construction experience Journeyman-level skill and ability to work with limited supervision Strong knowledge of tools, materials, measurements, and proper installation methods Ability to complete clean, professional-quality work Dependable and able to show up on time Good communication with homeowners and other members of the crew Ability to keep a clean and organized jobsite Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Own basic hand tools preferred We're especially interested in someone who is versatile. You don't need to know absolutely everything, but you should be comfortable walking onto a remodeling project, understanding what needs to be done, and getting to work without needing someone to teach you the basics.
