This versatile role involves executing high-quality painting, drywall installation and repair, and carpentry work across various residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining safety standards while delivering exceptional craftsmanship. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality and safety. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and drywall finish. Install drywall panels accurately according to construction plans, including measuring, cutting, and securing panels with appropriate hand and power tools. Perform drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and finishing to create smooth surfaces ready for painting or further finishing. Execute carpentry tasks such as framing with metal studs or wood, door hanging, trim installation, and fixture mounting in compliance with schematics and blueprints. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or airless sprayers while adhering to safety protocols; include specialty finishes like stucco or textured coatings as needed. Conduct drywall repairs and water damage restoration to restore surfaces to their original condition efficiently. Follow construction plans meticulously, interpret technical drawings and schematics, and coordinate with team members on project timelines and specifications. Skills Proven experience in drywall installation, taping, mudding, texturing, and repair techniques. Strong carpentry skills including framing (metal stud and wood), door hanging, trim carpentry, and fixture installation. Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction plans. Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations such as OSHA standards; committed to safety protocol adherence at all times. Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, saws), spray equipment (airless paint sprayers), and masonry tools. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise project execution. Experience in restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration is a plus. Skills in plumbing (including construction plumbing), tile laying, flooring installation, plastering, caulking, masonry work, and remodeling are advantageous. Handyman experience is valued for versatility on diverse job sites; excellent communication skills are essential for team collaboration.
