We are seeking a seasoned Residential Carpenter Foreman to lead high-end remodeling projects across the Chicagoland area. Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise residential remodeling projects from inception to completion. Perform hands-on rough and finish carpentry tasks while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Manage and mentor onsite carpenters, laborers, and apprentices through daily work activities. Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure project milestones are met. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications for accurate layout and execution. Coordinate with subcontractors, facilitate inspections, and manage material deliveries. Monitor labor budgets and project timelines to ensure efficiency and profitability. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite in accordance with safety regulations. Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, project managers, and trade partners. Document project progress through daily reports and necessary administrative paperwork.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of residential carpentry experience is required. Extensive background in high-end residential remodeling and renovation projects. Proficiency in both rough and finish carpentry techniques and applications. Proven experience leading crews in a Foreman or Lead Carpenter capacity. Advanced skills in blueprint reading, layout, and project planning. Strong organizational and professional communication abilities. Must own a comprehensive set of professional hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to various project sites. Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift and carry construction materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for precision carpentry and tool operation. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work on raised platforms or scaffolding. Willingness to work in environments containing wood dust, fumes, and varying temperatures. Balance and agility for navigating active residential construction sites safely.
