Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately execute siding and roofing projects. Install a variety of siding materials including vinyl, fiber cement, metal, and other exterior cladding options with precision and attention to detail. Perform roofing repairs using single-ply membrane roofing systems, metal roofing, or tile laying techniques as needed. Use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses safely and effectively to complete installations on multi-story structures. Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. Follow all construction safety regulations including the use of safety harnesses, ladder safety protocols, and workplace safety guidelines. Assist in concrete forming or fabrication tasks when required for project support or restoration work. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal during and after project completion. Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress, safety concerns, or technical issues. Skills Proven construction experience with a focus on siding installation, roofing repair, or general carpentry. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or plans. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, caulking guns, and measuring devices; proficient with power tools for efficient work. Familiarity with roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, restoration techniques, and tile laying. Ability to safely operate ladders at various heights while following ladder use protocols. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including proper use of safety harnesses and fall protection equipment. Experience working outdoors in diverse weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred. Capable of heavy lifting and physical endurance necessary for demanding installation tasks. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately for precise execution of projects.
