We are seeking a dependable Carpenter to join our crew near Altamont, Illinois. This is a full-time, year-round position, not seasonal work. You will report each day to our office located five miles south of Altamont. From there, transportation to local job sites is provided in a company crew truck. Most projects are within 30-45 minutes of the office, with no overnight travel required. Why Join Our Team? $20-$25 per hour, based on experience Full-time, year-round employment Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends Local projects with no overnight travel Company transportation from the office to job sites All tools provided Employee health insurance fully paid by the company after 90 days Health Savings Account Paid sick time accruing from your first day Paid vacation after 30 days Six paid holidays Retirement plan after one year Holiday bonus Responsibilities Build and install components of post-frame buildings Accurately measure, mark, and cut construction materials Frame walls, roofs, doors, and other structural components Install posts, trusses, metal siding, roofing, and related materials Safely operate hand and power tools Load, unload, and organize tools and building materials Work on ladders, lifts, and elevated areas Maintain a clean and safe job site Follow crew-leader instructions and established safety procedures Work collaboratively to complete projects efficiently and to quality standards Qualifications Previous construction or carpentry experience required Ability to measure and cut materials accurately Valid driver's license required Comfortable working at heights Able to perform physically demanding work outdoors Able to lift, carry, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to our Altamont office Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a crew Previous post-frame, pole-barn, framing, roofing, metal-building, or carpentry experience is preferred but not required. Work Location and Hours Employees must report daily to our office located approximately five miles south of Altamont, IL.
