Magazine's Best Workplaces 145+ strong Google reviews from homeowners across the Metro East Tight-knit team that actually lives its core values The Role We are hiring a Lead Carpenter to own day-to-day production in the field. You will run remodel projects on site, lead helpers, coordinate subs, and make sure the work is done right, on time, and with minimal stress for the homeowner. Our Operations Manager handles sales, estimating, and scheduling. Your job is to execute the plan in the field and keep projects moving. What You Will Do Lead daily jobsite execution for: Kitchens, baths, basements Larger trim and carpentry projects Perform high-level carpentry: layout, light framing, trim, doors, cabinets, flooring, misc carpentry Run daily huddles and assign tasks to helpers Coordinate subcontractors on site and keep work flowing in the right sequence Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization that impresses homeowners Track progress against schedule and labor budget Use a smartphone or tablet to update JobTread with notes, photos, and issues Communicate professionally with homeowners about day-to-day questions and progress Complete punch lists and prepare projects for final walkthrough What You Bring 7+ years residential carpentry experience, including occupied-home remodels 2+ years as a Lead Carpenter / Foreman / Working Superintendent Strong finish skills: trim, doors, cabinetry, interior details Ability to read scopes and drawings and turn them into a daily plan Experience leading helpers and holding a small crew accountable Professional, respectful communication with homeowners and trade partners Comfortable using phone/tablet apps for time, photos, and job updates Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and your own basic hand tools Bonus (not required): Experience with JobTread or other construction management software What We Offer Company vehicle & fuel card Paid lunches 4 Day work week (most weeks) Paid vacation and major holidays Performance-based bonus opportunities Company cell phone Consistent, year-round work Clear standards and expectations Growth path as we add more crews and roles Damaging admissions: We are a small, growing company and do not currently offer health insurance or retirement benefits . Everyone on the team, including the Lead, pitches in with protection, cleanup, loading trucks, and basic jobsite tasks to keep projects on time and clients happy. If you prefer a highly segmented big‑company environment where you only do one narrow task, this won't be a fit. Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
