Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description DUTIES:
Under the general supervision of the Carpenter Foreman the Carpenter Crew Leader is responsible for: Working on general construction, cabinet building, carpentry repair maintenance, renovations, glazing, hardware installation jobs as directed. Assisting with planning work and supervising workmen assigned. Operating and maintaining shop equipment to include table saw, joiner and planer; lay out and assembles projects in shop. Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of work area and vehicle. Following all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Supporting all aspects of the Park District's safety program. Performing other related duties as assigned.
Education :
High school diploma or junior college certification recommended.
Experience :
Two years of experience as a carpenter or apprentice required.
Knowledge and Ability :
Basic knowledge of carpentry work. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Aptitude for on-the-job training. Ability to work effective with Park District personnel. Must maintain a valid Illinois State Driver's License. Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, to follow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal and external customers. Personal -Work record that shows reliability, initiative, creativity, tact and resourcefulness.
