Technician Geo-Logic Associates - 4.0 Saint Charles, IL Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Benefits Profit sharing Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Driver's License Environmental field sampling Full Job Description Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 34 US office locations and an office in Peru. GLA is currently seeking a full-time Environmental Technician to provide support for civil/site infrastructure, solid waste, and environmental remediation projects. We have an immediate opening for an entry level Environmental Technician. The Environmental Technician will be performing basic trade activities, such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, piping, carpentry, concrete work, monitoring safety regulations, and performing other duties as assigned. Position will report to the Area Manager in the Concord, NC office. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: Communicates with area manager, surveyors, estimators, contractors, and project managers to ensure that projects are completed in a timely fashion. Understands pump controls and piping configurations. Understands landfill drawings and layouts. Understands and uses testing, calibration, and monitoring equipment. Understands how SCADA systems operate. Performs various inspections. Performs various maintenance tasks. Inventories and requests equipment and supplies as needed. Maintains records and logs of work performed and materials and equipment used. Required Qualifications Be eligible to work in the United States Experience in environmental sampling Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurerExperience in environmental sampling Preferred Qualifications 1+ years experience in any of the above listed trades. Experience with plastic piping, electronic controls and excavating is helpful. Solid Waste industry experience a plus. OSHA 40-hour
HAZWOPER
training and current 8-hour annual
HAZWOPER
