We're growing and looking to hire all skill levels of interior trim carpenters. Experience is preferred, but we're also willing to train the right candidate. Work is continuing to look for us; instead of us looking for work. We do multiple size projects lasting from a week, to custom projects lasting for months. We specialize in all interior trim applications from trim, moldings, cabinet installation, custom built-ins, stairs, etc. We pride ourselves on tight joints, precise craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. Jobs are located around Indianapolis and surrounding counties. Average travel time is usually 30 to 45 minutes, depending where you're located. Main tools are provided to start, but standard hand tools are a must. If you have your own main tools and prefer using them, that's fine as long as they're safe and in good working condition. If you have your own main tools your pay will reflect that. For those who do not have main tools and after your trial period, we offer a tool payment program that helps pay off your tools over time, since tools can be expensive and it frees up company tools for others to use. We understand that starting a new work relationship or a new career path can be intimidating for some. We ask that you come with a good attitude, great work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a desire to succeed as an excellent trim carpenter as these traits are untrainable. Everything else is trainable and will take its course. Quality is our biggest goal! As a Miter Master you'll learn what it takes to provide Quality 1st, safety, then speed well follow! Yes, we need to get things done however, there is a fine line between profit and perfect. That's why we try to hit that fine line every time then everyone benefits. Pay range, $15 -$34, based on experience. Sub for piece work is also up for consideration. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior trim such as baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting, cabinets, doors, and custom woodwork Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to complete carpentry tasks Requirements Willingness to learn and work well with others as well as independently Proficiency with hand tools and power tools Knowledge of material measurement techniques Communicate effectively Heavy lifting capability for handling materials and equipment safely Reliable transportation for site access across multiple locations This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring a versatile skill set in interior carpentry.
