Technician Job Description This role requires traveling to various job sites in the Louisville area. The technician will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks and ensuring all work areas are maintained properly. Responsibilities Complete punch list items and work orders. Perform drywall finishing, metal/wood framing, and drywall installation. Install doors and hardware. Move furniture and equipment as necessary in work areas. Maintain cleanliness of designated work areas at all times. Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, lighting, and workstation construction tasks. Perform drywall patching and trim work both inside and outside. Carry out painting tasks inside and out. Handle casework tasks. Essential Skills Mechanical skills with proficiency in using hand tools. Carpentry skills, particularly in residential remodel, drywall, nail pops, and framing. Experience in finish carpentry and build-out projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must have a valid driver's license. Own basic hand tools and saws. The company offers assistance with a tool buying program for larger tools like compressors and nail guns. Proficiency in residential remodel projects is beneficial. Why Work Here? Work Environment The technician will work in both residential and commercial warranty settings, primarily indoors (90%). The role involves traveling in one's own vehicle, preferably a truck for hauling materials, with gas expenses compensated weekly. The work hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for 0-5 hours of overtime. Weekend work is optional. The dress code includes khaki pants or painter/mechanic pants, a collared shirt, and nice work boots. Steel-toed boots are not required. Individuals are expected to be flexible and handle work orders independently. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
