Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trim Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing interior and exterior trim components in residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life by ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your carpentry skills to deliver high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic and functional value of buildings. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute trim installations. Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior and exterior trim such as baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window trims, wainscoting, and custom woodwork. Operate hand tools and power tools designed for woodworking and carpentry tasks safely and efficiently. Use woodworking machines for precise cutting, shaping, and finishing of wood materials. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects according to specifications. Perform framing work including metal stud framing as needed for wall assemblies or structural support. Conduct minor repairs or restorations involving drywall installation, caulking, stucco application, or mold remediation when required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to power tool safety protocols. Assist with heavy lifting of construction materials such as wood panels, cabinetry components, or rebar during installation processes. EXPERIENCED WITH TOOLS
Proven experience in residential carpentry with a focus on trim carpentry or related construction roles. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and metal stud framing. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures including power tool safety practices. Background in drywall installation, caulking, stucco work, rebar installation, masonry or fixture installation is advantageous. Experience working on restoration projects or within the restoration industry is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle.
