Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Traveling Carpenter/ Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work on various construction, repair, and remodeling projects across multiple locations. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and timely completion of projects. This role may require extensive travel and adaptability to different work environments, ensuring that all systems function efficiently and in compliance with safety standards. Duties Travel to multiple locations to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and building systems. Diagnose/Repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and structural issues, and implement effective solutions. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients and team members. Travel to different job sites to perform carpentry work, including construction, repairs, installations, and renovations. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, drywall, metal stud and other materials to meet project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions. Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and ensure quality standards are met. Inspect work sites to assess and prepare for necessary carpentry tasks. Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations. Maintain accurate detailed records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects. Operate machinery when necessary. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. Proven experience in a wide range of tasks including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, carpentry, and general repairs of building systems. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments. Must reside locally in the KC Metro area. Must be fluent in English. This position requires frequent interaction with clients, assessing project needs and ensuring customer satisfaction. Ability to travel out of town/state frequently. Very high attention level to safety regulations and company policies. Work Environment- This position involves frequent travel and may require overnight stays. The work may be performed in diverse conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings, at heights, confined spaces, and tight deadlines.
