Job Description:

Tekota Builds is a growing premium residential remodeling company based in Johnson County, Kansas. We specialize in high-quality kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basement finishing, and whole-home renovations throughout the Kansas City metro area. We are currently hiring a reliable and hardworking Residential Remodeling Technician to join our small, tight-knit team. This is a hands-on role where you will gain valuable experience and have strong opportunities to learn and grow your skills in all aspects of residential remodeling.

Position Highlights:

$18•$23 per hour (depending on experience), paid bi-weekly Starts as a 1099 Independent Contractor for the first 90 days Strong intention to convert to full W-2 employee after 90 days (based on performance and mutual fit) Company tools and equipment provided On-site work at various job sites in Johnson County and the Kansas City metro area

Key Responsibilities:

Finish carpentry and detailed trim work Install interior doors, windows, and hardware Cabinetry installation and finish work Painting and drywall finishing General construction labor and daily job site cleanup Assist with kitchen, bathroom, basement, and whole-home remodeling projects Properly care for and maintain company tools and equipment

Requirements:

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Ability to perform physical work on construction sites Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player Pride in quality workmanship and a positive attitude

Preferred Experience:

1-2+ years in residential construction, finish carpentry, or related trades Experience with trim work, cabinet installation, doors, or windows Paint and drywall experience is a big plus This role involves a variety of residential construction tasks. You will also be expected to help with painting, drywall, and any other tasks needed to complete high-quality remodeling projects.
