Job Title:
Carpenter - Restoration and Water Mitigation Job Description This role offers an opportunity for an experienced carpenter to expand into water mitigation and property restoration work. You will contribute to residential and commercial projects involving repairs, reconstruction, and cleanup following water, fire, storm, and other damage events. The position combines hands-on carpentry with on-the-job training in restoration services, supporting a 24/7 emergency response operation while primarily working a daytime schedule. Responsibilities
+ Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finish work, drywall installation and repair, and painting on residential and commercial restoration projects.
+ Assist with water damage restoration activities such as responding to flooding, leaks, storm damage, and sewage backups, following established mitigation procedures.
+ Support fire and smoke cleanup, including soot removal, odor control, detailed cleaning, and board-ups to secure affected properties.
+ Participate in mold remediation projects by helping with inspections, containment setup, removal activities, and restoration of affected areas.
+ Contribute to biohazard and trauma cleanup, including work on bloodborne pathogen projects, following strict safety and regulatory guidelines.
+ Assist with storm damage services, including cleanup after tornadoes, hail, and thunderstorms, and help restore structures and property conditions.
+ Work on hoarding and clutter cleanup projects, helping to clear, organize, and restore living spaces to safe and functional conditions.
+ Support odor removal efforts by performing cleaning, repairs, and other tasks needed to eliminate persistent odors from structures and contents.
+ Participate in air duct cleaning projects as needed, helping to improve indoor air quality in residential and commercial properties.
+ Travel from site to site to perform work at various customer locations, adapting to changing project scopes and conditions.
+ Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete carpentry and restoration tasks according to project specifications.
+ Provide and maintain your own basic hand tools needed for daily carpentry work.
+ Collaborate with project teams, follow direction from supervisors, and communicate clearly about job progress and site conditions.
