Job Description
GLO Resources is looking for a Carpenter with Form Carpentry knowledge to work in Greenwell Springs, LA. The pay ranges between $20 - $26 per hour based on experience. This position works full time from Monday through Friday from 7 am - 3:30 pm with some overtime and weekend work available.
Position Summary:
The Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and construction-related tasks on residential and commercial job sites. The position will primarily focus on framing and formwork for concrete construction, with additional responsibilities that may include drywall installation, trim work, and painting. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on carpentry skills, the ability to read and follow measurements and instructions, and experience working safely and efficiently in a construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform framing and general carpentry work according to project specifications and supervisor instructions. Build, install, and modify concrete forms and other structures used for concrete construction. Perform drywall installation, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing materials. Assist with concrete formwork and related construction activities as needed. Perform basic trim carpentry and finish work. Complete painting and other general construction tasks as assigned. Measure, cut, assemble, and install various construction materials accurately. Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment. Follow all company and job-site safety policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with supervisors and other construction personnel to complete projects efficiently. Perform additional construction and carpentry duties as needed based on the project.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on carpentry or construction experience preferred. Demonstrated experience with framing and concrete formwork required. Experience with drywall installation and general construction preferred. Ability to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install construction materials. Proficiency with basic hand tools, including a hammer, tape measure, square, pencil, and tool belt. Ability to read and follow basic plans, measurements, and verbal/written instructions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and working for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a construction crew. Must be willing to follow all job-site safety requirements. Must successfully complete required pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Must pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
