Job Description
Best-known for the vessel fleets it produces for the U.S. Armed Forces and allies around the globe, Metal Shark has expanded its focus to include state, local, and commercial operators across a wide range of markets. Today, the Louisiana-based company produces a wider range of specialty vessels than perhaps any comparable yard. Key markets served include fire rescue, law enforcement, military, passenger vessels, pilot boats, various workboat operators and other specialty operators.

Full Time, Potential for overtime on Weekdays and Weekends 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 2:30PM Friday Education or Required Experience :
- 2 to 3 years of experience in marine, residential, or commercial carpentry
- Proficient in reading and fabricating from blueprints
Required Skills :
- Must be able to laminate Formica and work with various materials including Corian
- Must be able to install carpet
- Ability to upholster and install headliners and wall panels
- Must be able to fabricate and install finishing work with seamless edges including trim and moldings
- Possesses excellent judgment with respect to material usage as well as efficient installation processes to minimize weight
- Conscious of all aspects of marine fabrication including weight
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools including, but not limited to, a table saw, chop saw, router, belt sander, and multi-meter.
