Salary Range:
$18.00 To $29.90 Hourly The specific pay rate and level will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience and location. "A Day in the Life" As Team Lead you will lead a crew of employees in servicing and repairing modular buildings. Coordinate and prioritize work schedule for production crew, assign modular mechanics and general maintenance employees. Verify quality according to our standards. "What You'll Do" Coordinate and prioritize work schedule for production crew, assign modular mechanics tasks, learn/train as needed, and verify quality according to our standards.
Perform preventative maintenance and construction on modular buildings to include, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and cleaning.
Monitor the work of team members to meet productivity, quality and safety requirements
Ensure team maintains tools, supplies and work area consistent with the area's 6S checklist
Actively participate in safety meetings and safety training of crew members. Carry out current industry safety practices to include knowledge of OSHA requirements. Conduct daily and weekly safety audits and document results
Provide continuous training of crew members and new employees; coaches and counsels team members as needed with regards to responsibilities of their positions
Act as a backfill for other leaders when necessary
Work schedule Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
Perform other duties as assigned "Must Haves" Prior experience of at least 4-6 years in the construction or related industry performing and leading general construction trades required. Prior experience with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other specialties preferred
Able to effectively lead a team and offer guidance and direction. Prior experience overseeing the work of a team of at least 6 employees desired
Able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and Company specific work orders, work instructions and floor plans provided
Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company's safety policies and procedures
Deliver a high-quality output consistent with the Company's construction standards
Able to take, record and follow standard measurements and cut or separate materials to specific measurements or quantities
Able to read Company's construction documents (provided in English) and provide guidance to construction team to complete necessary work
Ability and desire to learn new computer programs and systems, including internal and Microsoft Suite based applications
Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
Valid Driver's License "Nice to Haves" Ability to complete material and labor take offs from blueprints a plus
Knowledge of current building codes to include 2016 CBC and 2018 IBC and ADA a plus.
Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is a plus
Knowledge of LEAN a plus
Special Considerations:
Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
