Job Description
Position Summary:
Constructs, renovates, repairs, and finishes buildings, building components and other structures, utilizing both hand and power tools.Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation. 5+ years' carpentry job-site experience and demonstrated job skills set, or completion of apprenticeship program, Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; follow instructions, read blueprints and make decisions based on measurable criteria. Visualize objects in three-dimension ; use logical step-by-step procedures in work; make decisions based. On measurable information. Apply shop mathematics to solve problems. Plan work and select proper tools. Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects. Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked. Perform duties that may change often. Personal tools required : Tape measure, tool belt, hammer, utility knife and square. Physically, must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; coordinate eye-hand movement; use hands and fingers fully; climb and maintain balance; see and hear well (either naturally or with correction); and stand, stoop, kneel and crouch . OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training) . O btain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen .
