Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of projects, including residential remodeling, restoration, decks, door and window installation and cabinetry install. Candidate must be willing to take direction and abilities to complete assigned tasks on their own. Starting pay based on field experience. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Install doors, windows, cabinetry, siding, trim and other finishing elements with precision. Operate woodworking machines safely for fabrication and custom woodwork projects while adhering to power tool safety standards. Assist with general job site set up, break down and orginization. Collaborate with team members to ensure construction site safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting and material handling. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently on active job sites. Willingness to labor in light excavation, site work or landscaping. Skills Extensive experience in residential carpentry, framing, trim carpentry, and remodeling projects. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels as well as power tools including drills, saws, sanders for woodworking tasks. Knowledge of wood construction materials like lumber, plywood, siding materials. Familiarity with construction site safety practices including power tool safety protocols and heavy lifting techniques. Experience with fixture installation—including cabinetry, doors hanging, and water damage restoration processes. Excellent skills in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans to ensure accuracy throughout all phases of work.
