RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with & supervise the coordination of a team of marine carpenters in daily tasks & projects. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Fabricate and install structural elements and finishes using various carpentry techniques and materials suitable for marine environments. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during all phases of construction and repair. Conduct quality inspections to verify compliance with design and regulatory standards. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to resolve technical issues and achieve project goals. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory, ensuring availability for ongoing and future projects. Train and mentor junior carpenters to enhance team skills and productivity.
REQUIREMENTS
Must clear a clean driving record check. Proven experience as a marine carpenter or similar role At least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety standards. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and effectively guide a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
CERTIFICATIONS
Valid MA Driver?s License CDL-B with Manual and Air Brakes Endorsement a plus but not required

Gain proficiency in boat handling, operating heavy machinery, driving trucks, rigging, working around cranes, pile driving, welding, and other trade skills. Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals safely and efficiently. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
