Maintenance Carpenter

Job OverviewThis position will require workers to perform maintenance duties and jobsite cleanup on new construction projects as necessary. In addition, job duties will also include escorting subcontractors and repair/replace system furniture components. Required to document work completed, issues relegated to work activity and detail material list needed.

Pay Rate:

$34.81/hourly

ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Duties:
  • Performs maintenance and jobsite cleanup on new construction projects as necessary. In addition, job duties will also include escorting subcontractors and repair/replace system furniture components.
  • Installs and maintains floor protection and dust enclosures as needed.
  • Maintains project IAQ by replacing walk-off mats and filters as needed. Vacuums the jobsites as needed.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
  • Plans, organizes work and meets all deadlines. Able to do a variety of tasks in any single day.
  • Respond to emergency site maintenance as required.
  • Inspects and diagnoses problems to determine corrective repairs.
  • Perform on call and preventive maintenance duties as necessary.
  • Performs periodic stock inventories and prepares material requisitions for replacement items as required.
  • Operates Government or Defense Base Services owned motor vehicles and/or other equipment.
  • Performs various lower classified duties such as (but not limited to) file maintenance, workspace cleanup, maintain warehouse space and telephone answering as required.
  • Assists and supports other trade groups and/or department staff in daily operations as needed or directed.
  • Ads to the established Chugach safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work alternate shifts as required.
  • Performs a wide range of construction activities and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum of (2) years of jobsite experience at the Journeyman level.
  • Ability to complete and maintain Customer-specific escort.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal.
  • Familiarity with basic mathematical functions is required.
  • General knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • U.
