About Us Lerch Brothers, LLC is a leading landscape design and build company dedicated to creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to client satisfaction. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing various wooden structures and features within our landscape projects. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality results.
Responsibilities Construction and Installation:
Build and install decks, pergolas, gazebos, fences, gates, arbors, and other custom wooden features. Construct retaining walls, planter boxes, and garden beds from wood. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, laminates, and other materials according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Frame structures and ensure structural integrity.
Repair and Maintenance:
Repair and restore existing wooden structures as needed. Perform routine maintenance on carpentry tools and equipment.
Material Management:
Select appropriate materials for projects, considering durability, aesthetics, and client preferences. Estimate material quantities and order supplies as required. Minimize waste and ensure efficient use of materials.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work effectively with landscape designers, project managers, and other crew members. Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to the project manager. Interpret design plans and translate them into physical structures.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all carpentry work meets high-quality standards and client expectations. Perform final inspections of completed work. Qualifications Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably within a landscape or construction environment. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction methods, and building codes. Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong communication and teamwork skills. OSHA certification is a plus. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
