Finish Carpenter Pay:
$30-35 Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to perform high-quality finish work on residential and commercial projects. This role focuses on precise installation of trim, cabinetry, and custom woodwork, delivering polished results that meet exact specifications and high craftsmanship standards. Responsibilities Install finish carpentry elements including trim, crown molding, baseboards, doors, windows, and cabinetry with a high level of precision and quality. Complete detailed interior work such as paneling, built-ins, and custom millwork installations for residential and commercial spaces. Measure, cut, and assemble materials to exact specifications using appropriate hand and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project plans to execute work accurately and efficiently. Ensure all work meets established quality standards and aligns with client expectations and project requirements. Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to coordinate tasks and maintain project timelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site, following all safety guidelines and best practices. Identify and resolve installation challenges in the field by applying strong problem-solving and carpentry skills. Essential Skills Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in finish carpentry or a closely related trade. Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques used in finish work. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and project plans. Demonstrated experience with finish carpentry tasks such as trim, cabinetry, millwork, and detailed interior installations. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various job site conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in residential construction and commercial construction environments. Cabinet making, cabinetry installation, and custom woodworking. Hands-on experience with framing, drywall, and general construction assembly. Familiarity with millwork installation and custom built-ins. Strong problem-solving skills to address field installation challenges. Work Environment This role is field-based on active residential and commercial job sites, working primarily on high-end finish carpentry projects. You will regularly use hand tools and power tools for carpentry, cabinetry, and millwork installations. Work involves standing, bending, lifting materials over 50 pounds, and moving between different areas of the site. Job sites may vary in conditions, and you will need to adapt to different environments while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Standard construction attire and appropriate safety gear are required in accordance with site safety practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gray, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
