Job Description

Lead Carpenter & Shop Foreman Rockport Post & Beam - Rockport, Maine Rockport Post & Beam is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter & Shop Foreman to join our team. This role involves leading a small crew in the layout, cutout, and assembly of timber frame home and barn projects, both in the shop and on-site. Key Responsibilities Layout of timber frames and structural panels Lead and work alongside crew in the shop to cut and prepare timber frame components Supervise and participate in on-site assembly of frames and panel systems Coordinate workflow and maintain efficiency with a small crew Perform general carpentry tasks related to timber frame projects Qualifications & Experience Strong background in general carpentry, including: Conventional framing Installation of siding, trim, windows, and exterior finishes Finish carpentry Understanding of building science principles Proven experience leading a small crew of carpenters and helpers Ability to read plans and execute layouts accurately Timber frame experience is a plus, but not required What We Offer Opportunity to learn and specialize in timber framing Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, 40 hours per week Paid holidays Flexible PTO 3% matching
