Position Overview SpaceStars Deck Builders is seeking energetic and technically skilled Carpenters to join our Field Operations team in Southeast Michigan. As a premier deck building company, we are looking for individuals who take pride in craftsmanship and are "Outcome Obsessed," ensuring every project meets our absolute highest quality standards for workmanship and attention to detail. You will work under the guidance of our Field Operations leadership to execute deck construction projects safely and efficiently. Role Summary Commitment to

Deliver high-quality framing and finish carpentry installation on every project.

Safety and Compliance:
Maintain jobsite safety and follow company methods and quality standards at all times. Requirements 5+ years of direct carpentry experience with 3+ years of deck building experience for Tier 2 10+ years of direct carpentry experience with 3+ years of deck building experience for Tier 3 Valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass a drug screen Ability to pass a driver's record screening Skill-Based Hiring & Career Path SpaceStars Deck Builders utilizes a skill-based hiring process to ensure the right talent is placed in the right role for success and growth. Our organization features three distinct levels of Carpenter, each determined by a specific set of skills and experience: Carpenter 2. Blueprint Reading Experience, Rough Framing/Finish Carpentry Skills, Technical Calculations Skills Carpenter 3 . Technical Mastery, On-Site Logistics Skills, Inspection/Outcome Management Experience, Mentorship Abilities.
Hiring Process:
New candidates are required to perform an in-person skills assessment as a fundamental part of the interview process. The results of this assessment directly determine the candidate's initial hiring level and corresponding pay scale within our structured compensation framework.
