The Bluestone Construction Group has immediate openings for experienced commercial journeyman carpenters in the Metropolitan Detroit area.

$2000.00 cash bonus paid after successful completion of 90 day probationary period

Compensation:

$25.00 to $35.00 per hour base pay

As a Bluestone Carpenter you will with dedicated team members to erect, install and repair structures of metal stud, plywood, sheathings, insulation, drywall and acoustical treatments making sure they conform to the local building code and have fun doing it.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Construct and install metal and wood framing components with accuracy in commercial buildings. Ability to install acoustical grids and tile with accuracy to meet design criteria and intent. Hang and finish drywall to create finished surface to design criteria. Install and repair doors, frames and hardware ensuring proper alignment, fit, finish and operation. Demonstrated ability to work with the latest power tools (provided by Bluestone). Demonstrated ability to work safely with others while maintaining a clean job site. Accurately cut, fit and shape materials to specifications with both hand and power tools. Communicate both written and orally with project managers, foreman and other subcontractors to coordinate project activities. Work well with others as a team.
