Carpenter / Laborer

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter / Laborer, where you'll play a vital role in building, restoring, and maintaining a variety of structures. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects in unique locations throughout the Les Cheneaux Islands. Projects will range from framing and trim carpentry to roofing and restoration. Whether you're experienced in blueprint reading or skilled with power tools, this role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to high-quality craftsmanship and project success. Duties Assist with caretaking and maintenance, site preparation, foundations, framing, interior and exterior carpentry, etc. while maintaining precise and quality work. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites Install fixtures, doors, siding, cabinetry, and other building components with attention to detail Surface preparation, painting and varnishing Support roofing projects, flooring installation, tile laying Groundskeeping Requirements Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of construction projects Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment Ability to follow technical instructions accurately Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces; ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to travel in boats to job sites Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; willingness to travel between job sites as required Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude; safety-conscious mindset at all times.
