This role is vital in ensuring that all aspects of carpentry work are executed with precision, safety, and efficiency. In addition to leadership responsibilities, this is a hands-on role that requires active participation in physical carpentry and job site work. As a leader on-site, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, and uphold quality standards to deliver exceptional results. Your expertise in construction management and strong supervisory skills will drive project success while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices. Responsibilities Lead and supervise carpentry crews while actively working alongside them to complete tasks safely, on time, and within budget. Perform and assist with physical carpentry work, including framing, installation, and other on-site construction activities. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide project execution. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless workflow and material delivery. Manage daily site operations, including scheduling, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols such as OSHA standards. Utilize construction management software like ProCore, Autodesk, and other programs for scheduling, tracking progress, and documentation. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues early, and implement corrective actions as needed. Oversee budgeting activities related to labor, materials, and equipment. Supervise subcontractor work and ensure compliance with contracts and specifications. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing OSHA regulations and conducting regular safety meetings. Skills Extensive experience in construction site management with proven supervisory capabilities. Strong proficiency with construction management software including ProCore and Autodesk. Skilled in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate plans into actionable tasks on-site. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation. Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding work on a regular basis. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide teams while fostering a safety-first culture. Demonstrated experience in quality control processes to ensure high standards of craftsmanship. Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
