Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated to join our construction team, bringing expertise in various facets of building and renovation projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction initiatives, from building erection to intricate finishing work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent technical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship on every project. We do mostly small residential remodel projects in Kalamazoo, but we carpool to Grand Rapids too. Duties Assist in the erection of buildings, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to schematics Hang and finish drywall, paint and perform paint prep. Execute framing carpentry, including metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and woodworking tasks with precision Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to facilitate efficient construction workflows Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide project execution Conduct seasonal landscaping work Manage on-site tasks such as heavy lifting, ladder setup, restoration projects, remodeling efforts, and site clean-up Requirements Proven experience in construction with a focus on commercial or residential projects Demonstrated expertise in metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, and finishing techniques Skilled in flooring, roofing, siding, paint, and carpentry including framing and trim work Proficient with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on active construction sites Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, and performing demanding manual tasks consistently Join our team if you're eager to apply your comprehensive construction skills in a place where quality matters.
