This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your craftsmanship and restoration expertise will make a tangible difference. You will be responsible for performing skilled carpentry, demolition, cleaning, and restoration tasks to bring damaged spaces back to life. The ideal candidate is energetic, motivated, and passionate about delivering high-quality results while adhering to safety standards. This position is fully paid and provides a rewarding chance to develop your skills within the restoration industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Water Damage Mitigation:
Respond to emergency water damage calls and assess the extent of damage to residential or commercial properties.
Water Extraction and Drying:
Use professional equipment for water extraction, structural drying, and dehumidification.
Carpentry Repairs:
Perform general carpentry tasks such as repairing or replacing drywall, framing, baseboards, flooring, and trim.
Painting and Finishing:
Prep, prime, and paint surfaces as part of restoration work to ensure the property is restored to its original appearance.
Power Tool Operation:
Safely operate power tools (e.g., saws, drills, sanders) to perform demolition, cutting, and repair work.
Mold Prevention:
Clean, sanitize, and apply mold inhibitors to affected areas to prevent further damage and contamination.
Documentation and Reporting:
Keep detailed records of the work completed, including photos and written reports for insurance claims.
Customer Communication:
Maintain professional and empathetic communication with clients, explaining the restoration process and timelines.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and company procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself, your team, and clients.
Maintenance:
Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained and ready for use.
Cleaning:
Carpet and Air Duct cleaning, rug cleaning All other task assigned by management
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required IICRC Certification preferred Previous experience in water damage restoration, general carpentry, painting, or construction a plus Skilled in using power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and other equipment Ability to perform general carpentry tasks (drywall, framing, trim, flooring, etc.) Experience with painting and finishing work to restore properties to their original condition Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communicationand customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor environments, working in residential, commercial, and industrial settings May involve exposure to water, mold, dust, debris, and other contaminants Use of personal protective equipment (PPE ) is required
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
