Job Description
Lead Carpenter Hansen Builders | Chanhassen, MN Full-Time | Year-Round Earn $70,000 - $100,000+ annually This is an hourly position. Total annual earnings of $70k-$100k+ are realistic depending on experience and performance. We pay well for reliability and skill. After proven performance and reliability, a company truck and gas card become available. About Hansen Builders We're a family-run remodeling company rooted in Chanhassen since 1962. We take pride in clean work, clear communication, and treating both our clients and our team the right way. We're growing and looking for a Lead Carpenter who wants to do excellent work, lead a small crew, and be part of a company that values craftsmanship and reliability. Our projects are primarily in homes throughout the Southwest Metro (Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, and surrounding areas). The Role This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll be on the tools regularly while also running the day-to-day on your projects — directing the crew, coordinating subs, protecting quality, and keeping the job moving cleanly and on schedule. We're looking for someone who already works at a high level and wants a place where that standard is expected. What You'll Do Perform high-quality framing and finish carpentry Lead and direct crew members and apprentices on site Read plans, catch issues early, and solve problems in the field Coordinate with subcontractors and keep the schedule moving Communicate clearly with homeowners and the office Maintain a clean, safe, organized job site Take ownership of quality from start to finish Who We're Looking For Strong field experience (8+ years preferred) in residential framing and finish carpentry Proven ability to lead a small team and hold a high standard Self-starter who doesn't need constant direction Reliable — shows up, follows through, and takes pride in the work Clean driving record and own basic tools Comfortable talking with homeowners and solving problems on the fly We care more about how you work than how many certificates you have.
