Union pension plan with $2.25 per hour contribution Fully vested after 5 years Summary The exterior and interior finish crew member assists in producing functional infrastructure and products while working in a controlled setting. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of exterior building materials and other carpentry properties. Inspection and assembly of materials and articles to specified standards Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed Cut, fabricate, and install soffit, fascia, Tyvek underlayment exterior doors, siding and windows according to specifications Build window frames and doors, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items Inspect product and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area Works in a safe manner and follows all safety policies including wearing appropriate PPE Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment. The performance of this position requires occasional exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of safety glasses is required, and the use of hearing protection may be required. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects up to 80 pounds, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor in a climate-controlled environment. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Evening work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Travel is primarily not expected in this role. Experience Previous construction or carpentry experience preferred Basic tool knowledge Ability to take accurate measurements Ability to read blueprints Must poses a strong attention to detail in completing work tasks Ability to work within a team or independently as needed Ability to follow written and spoken instruction Ability to lift to 80 pounds comfortably and consistently Education High school diploma or Equivalent required.
