Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a multi-skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of carpentry, including construction site work, remodeling, and restoration. The candidate will be responsible for carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, cabinetry, and general repairs. The candidate will work on both residential and light commercial projects, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Other areas of responsibility will include LVP flooring and tile installation, painting, staining, and finishing woodwork. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who is reliable, dependable, and consistently shows up ready to work. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to this role. Responsibilities Installs walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites. Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim. Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels. Reads blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare layouts and determine dimensions and materials required. Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws. Follows established safety rules and maintains a safe and clean environment. Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools. Assembles and fastens materials using hand tools, screws, nails, dowels, or glue. Removes damaged or defective parts of structures and replaces or repairs them. Inspects tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork for damage. Moves materials around the jobsite as assigned. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and team members. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently. Familiarity with safety labels, warnings, and site protocols. Detail-oriented and safety-conscious. Solid understanding of job site safety and carpentry techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Preferred experience in residential and light commercial construction. Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in varying weather conditions. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Broad experience across all trades. Expertise in framing, windows, doors, sheetrock, and custom trim work is preferred. Versatility and adaptability are essential in this multi-skilled role.
