$25 - $35 / hour About Us Lintel and Cornice Development and Construction, LLC ("L+C") is a mission-driven development and general contracting firm specializing in transformative historic rehabilitation projects in south St. Louis. L+C is committed to taking on the most challenging and impactful projects--the crumbling buildings that seemed all but destined for demolition--converting them into high-quality rehabs. About the Role L+C seeks a highly experienced Framing Carpenter to join its small but growing team and lead single family, multi-family, and mixed-use rehabilitation projects. L+C seeks Carpenters that show initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, and a passion for restoring some of South City's roughest buildings. Skills and Qualifications Prior experience framing rehabilitation projects. Proficiency in using standard carpentry tools and techniques. Understanding of building code and standards of construction. Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements. Strong attention to detail and quality. Possess a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines without compromising quality. Reliability and willingness to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to troubleshoot on-site issues and provide creative solutions. Desire to grow in the trade. Responsibilities Installation of floor joists, subflooring, demising walls, window framing, porch and fence construction, etc. Installation of doors, windows, insulation, firestopping, etc. Assist finish carpenters with larger jobs, including cabinet and door installation and execution of punch list. Assist in unloading, staging, and organizing materials. Follow directions from the Construction Manager and adapt to evolving site conditions. Communicate issues, questions, and requests to Construction Manager and/or Owner Oversee other framing carpenters, providing guidance and mentorship. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Use hand and power tools with proper safety and care. Wear required PPE and follow all site safety protocols. Occasionally, interface with subcontractors and suppliers under supervision. Requirements Must supply basic set of hand and power tools Ability to stand, walk, work with your hands, climb ladders, work on scaffolding, move 50 lbs independently for extended periods of time Ability to work in heat and cold as necessary Maintain reliable form of transportation and driver's license What We Offer Health insurance stipend 401(k) Paid time off and 10 paid holidays Year-round work Small geographic radius of project sites Opportunities for continuing education and trainingJob Type:
