Job Title:
Residential Lead Carpenter/ Remodeler Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Residential Crew Leader and/or carpenter to oversee and manage a team of skilled tradespeople for residential remodeling projects in and around the St Louis area. The Crew Leader will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining project timelines, and ensuring safety standards on job sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in residential remodeling, and the ability to manage a small crew to ensure productivity and efficiency on the projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of carpenters, laborers, and other skilled tradespeople in various residential remodeling projects. Assign daily tasks and priorities to crew members ensuring projects are progressing according to schedule. Ensure all work is performed according to safety guidelines, company policies, and building codes. Work closely with project managers to understand the scope of work and timeline for each project. Monitor the progression of projects to ensure they are on track and resolve any issues that arise on-site. Manage and delegate materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime. Train new crew members and assist with skill development for team members. Ensure proper communication of daily progress, jobsite issues, and any changes to the original project scope. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times. Assist with project planning, material ordering, and scheduling when needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-5 years' experience leading and managing a residential remodeling crew. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of residential construction. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. Strong knowledge of residential building codes and safety regulations. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure all work is completed correctly and efficiently. Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot issues on the job site. Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and stand for long periods. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
Full-time, with occasional overtime as needed. Travel to various residential job sites in St Louis and surrounding counties Physical work environment with potential exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
Compensation:
Competitive salary 30-35 an hour Benefit package (health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, etc.). ).
