Dependent on experience, work ethic, and demonstrated skill About Us Nationwide Construction is a Missoula-based general contracting company focused on quality builds, clean job sites, and solid communication. We work on residential and light commercial projects across Western Montana. We're looking for a dependable, skilled site worker—ideally a lead-level carpenter—who takes pride in doing things right the first time. Position Summary We're hiring a Construction Site Worker with strong hands-on experience. The ideal candidate is a construction lead who can independently run framing and siding scopes, supervise small crews when needed, and contribute across multiple trades. Rough Wood Framing (with some metal), & siding installation, are our biggest needs right now, but we're open to other trade strengths if you're a fit such as remodeling, finish carpentry, flooring and more. Key Responsibilities Lead or support rough framing work (wood and/or metal stud framing). Install siding systems accurately and efficiently (lap, panel, fiber cement, engineered wood, etc.). Complete interior remodeling scopes (demo, layout adjustments, framing modifications, drywall prep, flooring prep, etc.). Perform finish carpentry and detail work (trim, doors, cabinets, built-ins, stair parts, punch-out) Install flooring systems with precision, including layout, prep, underlayment, and finish work (LVP, laminate, hardwood, tile, and carpet as applicable) Read and interpret plans, layouts, and basic specs. Maintain quality control on your scope and catch issues before they become problems. Work safely, keep a clean job site, and follow construction best practices/protocols. Coordinate with the management team on material needs, sequencing, and schedule. Help with other trade scopes as needed (e.g., decks, blocking, minor concrete, exterior details). Communicate clearly with teammates, subs, and management. Desired Skills & Experience Solid experience in rough framing (wood preferred; metal stud experience is a big plus). Strong experience in siding installation . Experience in interior remodeling (layout changes, repair work, renovation sequencing). Experience in a multitude of flooring applications Broad ability across multiple trades is highly valued. Have experience on a telehandler/forklift Ability to work independently, solve problems on site, and stay productive without constant supervision. Leadership experience or willingness to lead a small crew. Reliable transportation and ability to work on job sites around Missoula and nearby areas. Tools for your trade are a plus (especially for lead/sub roles). Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and consistent attendance are must-haves. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check. Pay & Structure Pay is based on: depth of relevant trade experience speed and quality of work reliability and work ethic ability to lead and problem-solve Subcontractors / independent crews are encouraged to apply. We're open to hourly, day-rate, or bid-per-scope arrangements depending on fit and project needs.
