Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Framing Carpenter. Here at Jade Mountain we are looking for someone with 7-10 years experience. Preferably in framing but we are willing to bring someone on with experience in general construction. You should have a solid foundation with the tools and techniques of the trade. You should be able to read and understand a set of drawings and prints. We would like you to have the ability by looking at set of plans to have a sense of how the project will progress through the frame. Above all we want someone who is willing to jump in to a new crew and mesh well with our guys not only on a personal level but also able to adapt and take on our standards and culture at Jade. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing projects. Measure, cut, assemble, and install various framing components including wood, metal studs, and other materials with precision. Install concrete forms and assist with rebar placement to prepare for concrete pouring and finishing. Operate power tools and hand tools safely to complete framing tasks efficiently. Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining quality standards. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for framing, roofing, siding, drywall installation, and restoration projects. Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately to ensure proper construction techniques are followed. Support site safety protocols by maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to safety guidelines during all phases of construction. Skills Extensive experience in frame carpentry Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical schematics for accurate project execution. Strong understanding of construction management principles to coordinate tasks effectively on-site. Competence with hand tools such as tape measures, saws, hammers, levels, and power tools necessary for precise measurements and assembly. Basic math skills for dimensional measurements and layout accuracy in framing tasks. Experience with restoration work or remodeling projects is a plus for versatile project involvement. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and sustained physical activity throughout the workday.

From $30.00 per hour
