Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our 5.5-yr old breakout company in the Asheville market. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skill and experience, a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship, and a vision to lead and advance in the construction industry. As a Lead Carpenter, you will execute the craft and lead others to follow in your footsteps. Responsibilities Lead and develop others to accomplish carpentry tasks from framing to finishing Follow plans and the direction of the managers and leadership Execute framing in accordance with building codes, plans, and specifications Perform installation of cabinets, trim, and other finish carpentry Execute small quantity material procurements and deliveries Collaborate with the MQC team and trades to ensure seamless execution of various construction tasks Supervise multiple sites (maximum 3 simultaneous) to ensure teams are progressing efficiently Code expenses and submit daily logs on behalf of the team Identify critical job, team, and organizational needs and at the defined times provide humble feedback and recommendations to leadership to ensure the whole MQC team is providing an efficient and proficient job environment Provide review of completed tasks, execute the present task, and plan the upcoming task; set a respectable pace and motivate the team Maintain a clean and safe construction sites, adhering to all safety regulations and practices Skills Proficient in all things wood: framing, finish, and fine Proficient in critical skills: precise measuring, template and jig-making, squaring, planning, jointing, scribing, marking, scoring, mortising, bracing, shoring, etc. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues effectively Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and to interact with clients on occasion Must be team-minded Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites is essential Perks Company truck Medical Insurance (after trial period) Paid lunch and truck time Advancement opportunities
