Job Description

TalentLogistiX is seeking an experienced Skilled Carpenter to join a long-term commercial construction project at Fort Bragg, North Carolina . We are looking for dependable, highly skilled carpenters with a strong background in residential construction, framing, finish carpentry, and general carpentry work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working from blueprints and construction drawings, performing accurate measurements and layouts, and completing quality work with minimal supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced carpenter looking for a long-term 11-12 month contract with steady work and competitive pay.

$28.00 - $30.00 / Hour Skilled Carpenter Responsibilities Perform general residential carpentry work including framing, installation, repairs, and finish work. Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and layouts. Perform accurate measurements, layouts, cuts, and installations according to project specifications. Construct and install wood and metal framing, walls, partitions, doors, windows, ceilings, and other building components. Install and repair drywall, trim, doors, hardware, and other architectural finishes as needed. Perform rough and finish carpentry to support commercial construction projects. Build, assemble, and install structures and components using hand and power tools. Measure, cut, fit, and secure lumber, plywood, drywall, and other construction materials. Assist with renovations, remodeling, repairs, and new construction activities. Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, alignment, quality, and compliance with project specifications. Work closely with project managers, superintendents, other carpenters, and skilled trades to maintain project schedules. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety requirements. Skilled Carpenter Qualifications 3+ years of professional residential carpentry experience. Strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry techniques. Experience with framing, drywall, doors, trim, ceilings, and general commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications. Proficient with common hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment. Strong measuring, layout, cutting, and installation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding construction tasks. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. OSHA 10 certification preferred; additional safety certifications are a plus. Must be able to successfully meet all site-specific requirements for work at Fort Bragg.
