Job Title:

Sander/Carpenter Duties:

Correction of surface damages and imperfections such as; scratches, gouges, chips, nicks, etc. Maintain the organization and cleanliness of own station, machinery and equipment, and overall department zone Communicate between lead department members and the Production Supervisor with any quality issues, concerns, or questions Adherence to company established processes, procedures, and policies Correction of material defects such as; delamination, voids, veneer cracking/peeling, streaking/knots/decoloration, etc. Application of wood putty/filler or auto bondo according to the finish grade, finish color, and damage size/type Apply liquid nails, loctite, glue, and other products as needed Steady operation of a handheld orbital sander (DA sander) to sand component parts, products, accessories, stock parts, as well as applied wood filler/auto bondo Safe operation of an impact drill or nail gun to install/apply components, subassemblies, and/or parts as needed Thorough hand sanding of small parts, molding, trim, and profiled parts Inspect components, parts, and products for damages or defects prior to pushing work load to the superseding department
