Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter Apprentice to join our dynamic construction team. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop essential carpentry skills while contributing to residential and commercial projects. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced carpenters to learn the trade, assist with various construction tasks, and gain hands-on experience in building, remodeling, and restoration projects. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, eager to learn, and committed to safety and quality. Responsibilities Assist skilled carpenters in constructing, installing, repairing, and remodeling structures using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood framing, siding, drywall, trim, cabinets, fixtures, and other wood construction materials. Operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols related to power tool use and power tool safety standards. Support rebar installation, plastering, caulking, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, and mold remediation tasks as needed. Assist with heavy lifting and material handling on construction sites while maintaining a safe work environment. Participate in site cleanup, material organization, and preparation for subsequent phases of construction or restoration projects. Qualifications Basic knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry and woodworking. Prior construction or remodeling experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on construction sites in various conditions. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Demonstrated interest in residential carpentry, trim carpentry, cabinetry installation or restoration industry experience is a plus.
