Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed construction plans and blueprints to accurately construct formwork for various concrete structures. Build, install, and dismantle formwork using hand tools and power tools, ensuring stability and adherence to specifications. Measure and cut materials such as wood, metal, and plastic to create precise forms for pouring concrete. Install rebar reinforcement within formwork to strengthen concrete structures according to engineering specifications. Operate concrete mixers and coordinate with concrete pumping teams to facilitate efficient pouring and placement of concrete. Ensure all work complies with construction workplace safety regulations by following established safety protocols at all times. Perform finishing tasks such as smoothing concrete surfaces, caulking joints, and applying stucco or plaster where required. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to carpentry tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans. Experience with concrete forming, pouring, cutting, finishing, and rebar installation techniques. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and material requirements for formwork projects. Familiarity with heavy masonry work including metal stud framing, stucco application, and masonry techniques. Ability to work effectively on construction projects in various environments while adhering to safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in blueprint specification interpretation and formwork construction.
