Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be adept at working with different materials. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will play a vital role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Duties Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements. Assemble and fabricate components for various projects, including cabinetry, furniture, and structural elements. Perform flooring installation and tile laying as required for specific projects. Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps in structures to ensure durability and aesthetics. Engage in mold remediation processes when necessary to maintain safety standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Participate in restoration industry projects, applying specialized skills as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role within the construction or restoration industry. Proficiency in mold remediation techniques is preferred but not required. Strong skills in maintenance person tasks including assembly, fabrication, flooring installation, tile laying, and caulking. Ability to read blueprints accurately and execute plans effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
