Carpenter / Laborer

Job Summary Gile Carpentry LLC is looking for a dependable and motivated Carpenter/Laborer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with general construction experience who's ready to expand their skills and grow within a reputable, family-run company. You'll work alongside experienced carpenters and leads on a variety of projects — from custom remodels and additions to decks, kitchens, bathrooms, tile work, and full home builds. Attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are key. Responsibilities Assist with all phases of residential construction, including framing, finish carpentry, siding, flooring, tiling, and cabinetry installation. Help maintain an organized and safe jobsite — setting up, cleaning, and ensuring materials are properly stored. Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment daily. Work closely with the lead carpenter to support day-to-day tasks and ensure high-quality workmanship. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and correctly. Perform basic measurements, cuts, and layout with accuracy. Follow direction, ask questions, and maintain a strong work ethic on-site. Requirements 1-3 years of residential carpentry or construction experience preferred (but we're willing to train the right candidate). Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to job sites. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely in varied weather conditions. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork mindset. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools. Punctual, dependable, and eager to learn.
