Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help bring construction plans to life, ensuring precision, safety, and durability in every task. Responsibilities Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood framing, cabinetry, doors, windows, siding, drywall, stucco, and flooring with precision. Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking and general carpentry tasks while adhering to all safety protocols. Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, and water damage restoration as needed on various sites. Fabricate custom wood components using woodworking machines and CNC equipment to meet project specifications. Ensure proper installation of fixtures such as cabinets, doors, moldings, trim, and hardware while maintaining high standards of quality. Maintain a safe work environment by following power tool safety procedures and handling heavy lifting tasks responsibly. Assist with remodeling projects, renovation work, restoration industry tasks including mold remediation and plastering. Support site cleanup and organize materials efficiently for smooth workflow throughout each project phase. Experience Proven construction experience with a strong background in residential carpentry or general contracting projects. Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, metal stud framing, drywall installation, tile laying, flooring installation, and fixture mounting. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and the ability to read construction plans confidently. Familiarity with wood construction materials such as siding, trim components, cabinetry materials, and stucco finishes. Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety standards including power tool safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during all phases of carpentry work. Additional skills such as plumbing installation, masonry techniques or roofing are considered a plus but not mandatory. All employees responsible for hand tools and tool bags, as well as personal cordless tools. We have a generous tool allowance of $600/annually to replace these tools as needed.
