As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for managing carpentry crews, interpreting detailed blueprints and schematics, and ensuring that all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. Your leadership will drive project efficiency, foster teamwork, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship across diverse construction sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, utilize your extensive construction knowledge, and contribute to the successful completion of high-quality building projects. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate carpentry teams in the execution of framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, roofing, siding, stucco, masonry, and restoration projects. Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project workflows accurately. Oversee metal building erection, metal stud framing, rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete various carpentry and construction tasks. Manage heavy lifting operations and the use of heavy equipment to ensure safe handling of materials on site. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with project managers to interpret construction plans and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Perform dimensional measurements with tape measures and other tools to guarantee precise cuts and installations. Train and mentor junior team members in proper techniques for framing, drywall finishing, masonry work, plastering, roofing, siding, and other specialized skills. Skills Extensive experience in construction management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall installation, roofing, siding, stucco, masonry, and restoration. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to interpret project requirements accurately. Skilled in metal building erection, metal stud framing, rebar installation for concrete structures, concrete forming and finishing techniques. Ability to operate hand tools (saws, drills), power tools (jackhammers, nail guns), heavy equipment (forklifts or cranes), and perform heavy lifting safely. Strong understanding of basic math principles for measurements and calculations essential for precise craftsmanship. Experience working on diverse construction sites with a focus on safety protocols and quality standards. Familiarity with schematics related to electrical systems or plumbing as needed for remodeling or renovation projects. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for complex projects involving multiple trades such as masonry or drywall finishing.
