Roofing Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Framer/Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing the framework and structures of residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of blueprints, and excellent craftsmanship. Being bilingual is highly preferred and will be beneficial for communication on diverse worksites.
Key Responsibilities:
Framework Construction:
Build and assemble structural frameworks, including walls, floors, roofs, and door/window frames.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate measurements and material specifications.
Material Handling:
Measure, cut, shape, and join wood, metal, or other materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Installation:
Install windows, doors, siding, and other structural components as needed.
Structural Repairs:
Inspect and repair existing structures and frameworks to maintain integrity and safety.
Team Collaboration:
Work alongside other tradespeople, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and to specifications.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized worksite to ensure a safe working environment.
Quality Control:
Ensure all work meets industry standards and project requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience as a framer or carpenter in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
Skills:
Proficient in using tools and equipment such as saws, hammers, drills, and measuring devices.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Communication:
Strong communication and teamwork skills. Being bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with building codes and regulations. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
