This pivotal role involves executing high-quality carpentry work across various projects, from commercial renovations to restoration jobs. As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will bring your expertise in framing, trim, roofing, and finishing to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope. Your hands-on experience with blueprint reading, power tools, and construction estimating will ensure seamless project execution. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, siding, and roofing using hand tools and power tools. Perform framing work including metal stud framing and concrete forming for various building projects. Install fixtures, cabinetry, doors, moldings, trim carpentry elements, and hardware with attention to detail. Execute restoration projects involving water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, siding replacement, and mold remediation. Measure materials accurately for fabrication or installation; perform heavy lifting safely to handle large components. Collaborate with team members on site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all construction standards. Experience Proven experience as a journeyman carpenter or in a similar construction role with a comprehensive understanding of carpentry techniques. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read detailed blueprints and schematics. Hands-on experience with various construction disciplines including framing (metal stud), roofing, flooring installation (tile and wood), masonry, plumbing rough-ins, electrical work basics, and drywall finishing. Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers; power tools including drills and CNC machinery; and specialized equipment for rebar installation or concrete forming. Prior involvement in restoration industry projects or water damage restoration is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship standards. Knowledge of safety practices on construction sites along with the ability to identify hazards related to scaffolding, heavy machinery operation, or hazardous materials like mold or asbestos.
