Job Description
MRM Construction Services is seeking an experienced, high-caliber Framing Carpenter to join our residential construction team. The ideal candidate will be a true craftsman who takes pride in delivering precise, square, and structurally flawless framing that serves as the perfect foundation for our high-end projects. You will be responsible for the structural integrity and layout of our builds—including timber framing, wall panels, floor systems, roof rafters and trusses, sheathing, and structural additions—ensuring every component perfectly aligns with architectural plans and engineering standards.
Our projects include:
new home construction; additions; kitchen, bathroom, basement remodeling; decks; detached buildings & custom projects within Albany, Saratoga, Rensselaer & Schenectady Counties. MRM Construction values the safety of our employees, the candidate must follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area at all times. Qualifications- Minimum 10-15 years experience in residential finish carpentry (high-end custom home experience preferred).
- Own a full set of professional hand and power tools and be proficient in their use.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the project.
- Have strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, understanding that precision in the framing stage prevents issues during mechanicals and drywall.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
